New contract enables care home provider to offer best possible care to residents

Sewell Facilities Management has recently secured a brand-new client in Holistic Care Provision (HCP) who run two care homes in the region – Abbey Lea, a Grade II Listed care home, and Westwood in Selby.

FM’s York team will be providing a full facilities management service to HCP Ltd, headed up by Tom Farrow, Operational Team Lead, who said;

“Since becoming owners of HCP Ltd in 2019 new directors, husband and wife team Helen and Adam, are focused on modernising and future-proofing the homes without jeopardising the homely feel and natural charms of the buildings. Safety Is the top concern, as well as the look and feel of the homes is to maximise residents enjoyment of their home.

“They came to us to provide a well-rounded, total facilities management service, including lifecycle management to ensure their facilities are well-maintained, compliant, and fit for the future.

“Having a great deal of experience working in Grade Listed and older, Victorian style buildings, we know the importance of bringing them up to more sustainable, modern standards, and so it’s our job to make this happen.”

Abbey Lea and Westwood are home to 39 residents and have dining and catering facilities, living space and outdoor areas. Sewell FM offers a fully compliant service that involves the maintenance of fire alarms, lifts, hoists, electronic beds, catering equipment and everything in between. Reactive works, emergency callout and planned maintenance will also form part of the service.

Helen Thompson, Director of Holistic Care Provision Ltd added;

“Our experience so far with Sewell’s has been excellent – professional, friendly, and organised. So, thank you to you and your team for a great start!”
